5 former staff of Madwell, the debt-saddled indie company whose various controversies led to its collapse in late April, have been tapped to kind Gravity One, a millennial and Gen Z-focused division inside the full-service company Gravity World, ADWEEK has discovered. The monetary particulars of the deal weren’t disclosed. 

Gravity One can be helmed by Charlie Smith and Devin Kharpertian. Smith, who was a method chief at Madwell, will function managing director of consumer companies, whereas Kharpertian, a former Madwell artistic lead, has been appointed managing director of artistic. 

Three different ex-Madwell staff have joined as a part of the founding management staff: Julia Goldsmith, JP Summers, and Alex Kaufman, who will respectively lead manufacturing, technique, and inventive.
