Again within the wonderful tech golden age of the nineties and noughties, you could not transfer for reasonable tech (or, as I usually referred to as it then “low cost techy tat”). Themed MP3 gamers, customized reminiscence sticks, terrible airline earbuds, cheesy equipment you’d follow your iPod; all of those lined the partitions of supermarkets, publish places of work, nook shops. Not a lot, any extra.

It seems like low cost tech is far tougher to seek out now; our heightening tech expectations (techspectations?) mixed with the appearance of Temu and AliExpress has taught us the risks of e-waste. However has all this concern for landfill taken away a particular form of novelty that the best cheap earbuds do not change?
