Incomes recognition: ABC Information’ David Muir obtained a lifetime achievement award from the Library of American Broadcasting Basis (LABF) on Friday, November 14. Launched by CBS Information’ Invoice Whitaker, the World Information Tonight anchor and managing editor stated, “The rationale we’re standing right here is as a result of we stand on the shoulders of the individuals who opened the door for us. The doorways of that TV station after I was 13 years previous.” Muir added, “So let me simply say thanks… and let’s all look behind us a bit of bit extra and ensure we’re reaching out to the younger people who find themselves subsequent in line, as a result of we want younger individuals, the leaders and journalists of tomorrow, now greater than ever.” 

In the meantime, on Saturday evening, CBS Information Sunday Morning anchor Jane Pauley obtained the 2025 Poynter Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Journalism from the Poynter Institute. The award was introduced to Pauley throughout Poynter’s annual Bowtie Ball in Tampa, Florida. Additionally acknowledged on the occasion had been New York Instances Editor Dean Baquet and Doonesbury creator G.B. “Garry” Trudeau, who obtained distinguished Service Awards.
