Season two arrives in April



Apple has revealed the trailer and the debut date for season two of its musical comedy collection “Schmigadoon!” starring Keegan-Michael Key and Cecily Robust.

Billed as a parody of iconic musicals, the primary season was set in a magical city referred to as Schmigadoon, during which everybody lived in a studio musical from the ’40s. Within the second season, the characters Josh (Key) and Melissa (Robust) journey to Schmicago, the reimagined world of musicals from the ’60s and ’70s.

Tituss Burgess and Patrick Web page have joined the forged for the second season, with Cecily Robust, Keegan-Michael Key, Ariana DeBose, Martin Brief, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ann Harada, Jane Krakowski, and Aaron Tveit.

Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio co-created “Schmigadoon!” with Common Tv because the producer, a Common Studio Group and Broadway Video division. Andrew Singer government produces on behalf of Broadway Video, with Micah Frank as co-executive producer.

Paul serves because the showrunner and wrote all the unique songs for the collection, and Lorne Michaels is one other government producer. Since its debut, “Schmigadoon!” has earned Emmy and AFI Award wins, plus a Critics Selection Award nomination for Finest Supporting Actress for star Kristin Chenoweth.
