Apple has shared a trailer for its new 10-episode dystopian drama, “Silo,” based mostly on Hugh Howey’s best-selling collection of post-apocalyptic science fiction novels.
Set in a ruined and poisonous future, “Silo” is a world-building drama that explores a society residing in a large underground silo a whole lot of tales deep.
Based on Apple TV+, “Silo” is the story of the final ten thousand individuals on earth. They stay within the Silo, a mile-deep dwelling that protects them from the world exterior. After its sheriff breaks a cardinal rule and residents die, engineer Juliette uncovers surprising secrets and techniques and the reality about their dwelling.
Rebecca Ferguson (“Dune,” “Mission: Unimaginable,”) will star as Juliette. Rapper and actor Frequent (“The Chi”) will star as Sims, the pinnacle of judicial safety in the neighborhood.
Harriet Walter (“Succession”), Chinaza Uche (“Dickinson”), Avi Nash (“The Strolling Lifeless”), David Oyelowo (“Selma”), Rashida Jones (“Parks and Recreation”), and Tim Robbins (“Mystic River”) additionally star within the collection.
Apple signed the order for the collection in Could of 2021, when the mission was initially named “Wool.”
