The cloud is exciting, expansive and full of possibilities for those wanting to harness its power, and having the right software just isn’t enough.
This is the philosophy of CloudSaver Inc., a solution provider looking to give its customers the best possible cloud experience with both the right software and proper financial guidance.
“Our solution is a full managed service so we can plan our own proprietary technology with a full-service delivery team, so that we come in and provide project management, cloud engineering, FinOps analysts, and we come in and essentially do all the cost authorization for the company,” said Mark Williams (pictured, left), founder and chief executive officer of CloudSaver. “It’s been a fantastic solution for us and something that’s resonated well within our customer base.”
Williams and Brad Smith (pictured, right), corporate vice president of sales at Advanced Micro Devices Inc., spoke with theCUBE industry analysts John Furrier and Savannah Peterson at the recent AWS re:Invent conference, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed how CloudSaver is “cleaning up the cloud,” its partnership with AMD, what tag managing can do for cloud solutions and more. (* Disclosure below.)
Clean up the cloud
CloudSaver knows that healthy tag management is one of the biggest keys to an efficient and productive cloud solution. With its CloudSaver Tag Manager, it offers the ability to “clean up the cloud” and drive down accumulating costs, according to Williams.
“What a lot of people don’t understand is that a lot of their pain that they’re experiencing, the root cause is they’ve got a data problem,” he stated. “This is why we built an entire solution to help companies clean up their cloud and clean up their tags. It’s a foundational piece to help them understand how to manage their costs.”
AMD also recognizes the importance of an efficient, productive cloud solution, which is why they’ve partnered with CloudSaver. Providing cost and energy-efficient products is important to AMD, Smith explained.
“When you come to the cloud, your choice matters, right? Your choice matters on what you use and what the downstream impact and cost is,” he said. “It also matters in sustainability and other factors with our products.”
