A Japanese gamer who goes by Sugary Noe has managed to recreate the first level of the original NES The Legend of Zelda game in virtual reality using QuestZDoom for Meta Quest. Seeing this title from a first person view may remind some of DOOM, and rightfully so, as the dungeon section now has you peering around corners and exploring more of the maze-like labyrinth.
For those who don’t know what QuestZDoom is, this mod basically lets you play the original DOOM on Meta Quest headsets, which means the Octoroks seem to be even more menacing than before. One thing you won’t find are updated visuals, which means all of the 2D sprites you’re used to seeing have been faithfully recreated in this mod. Get QuestZDoom here now.
