It’s no Rolls-Royce Britannia, but the Ram 1500 Revolution battery-electric vehicle (BEV) concept does tease the future of trucks. Powered by two electric drive modules (EDMs), the concept features all-wheel-drive capability and can add up to 100-miles of range in approximately 10 minutes with 800-volt DC fast charging at up to 350 kW.
Unlike other EVs, the Ram 1500 Revolution has side-view mirrors that are smaller, more lightweight and use 3D printed materials for optimal aerodynamics as well as reduced drag. They use a digital camera to capture the truck’s surroundings, allowing for a smaller physical size. Aside from the digital side-view mirrors, it also comes equipped with an augmented reality (AR) head-up display (HUD) and a full touch screen display consisting of two screens that offer up to 28-inches of space. The Ram 1500 Revolution production model will be introduced in the coming months, set to begin deliveries in 2024.
