Recon’s GMC Hummer EV bike is great for getting around town, while the Acer eKinekt BD 3 will help you burn some calories as you work or game. This exercise bike and computer desk hybrid boasts an integrated LCD display that can be paired with a companion app to track your workout progress. It comes equipped with two USB Type-A ports, a USB Type-C port, cup holder, and a bag hook.
Not just a basic exercise bike with a laptop stand, the eKinekt BD 3 converts kinetic energy into electricity. That’s right, one hour of pedaling at 60 RPM generates 75 watts of power, which can then be used to charge laptops, smartphones, tablets, etc. An LED charging indicator lets you know just how much kinetic energy you’ve generated and the cup holder keeps liquids away from the bike as well as your electronic devices. There is a Working Mode and a Sports Mode, with the former letting you move the desk closer to the chair. Available in June stateside, priced at $999 USD.
For more accurate tracking, riders can input personal information such as height, weight, gender, and age on their app profiles. It also records workout history for users to track their progress and compare results over time,” said the company.
