For people of Delaware, they need to remember that the deadline for submitting applications for the current round of stimulus check payments is within this week.

The Governor of the state, John Carney, went on to sign legislation back in April that instituted the Delaware Relief Rebate Program of 2022, which aimed at providing $230 million to the taxpayers at the time. The residents of Delaware only have until the 30th of November to file for the rebate claim, after which no such additional applications will be accepted- as mentioned by the state government.

Rick Geisenberger, the Secretary of Finance in Delaware, stated that if a citizen has already been sent a stimulus check payment, they should then contact the office- after which they would be verifying the identity of the citizen, and then get the check forwarded to the concerned citizen. In the event that a citizen has not received a check, or the state government didn’t issue a check, they could simply apply- provided they met the qualifications for the rebate. The state has already issued around 782,000 direct payments for the sum of $300 for each adult resident in the state. However, the state officials stated that thousands more would be qualifying for the rebates.

Online applicants must also provide a valid residential mailing address for their state, along with Social Security numbers, and active driver’s licenses, or identification cards that were issued by the government by the 31st of December, 2021. In order to apply for the stimulus check payment, eligible applicants must also be residents of the state and above the age of 18.
