Ferrari SF90 Stradale Takes on BMW M 1000 RR Supebike in a Drag Racing Showdown

Ferrari SF90 Stradale vs BMW M 1000 RR Superbike Drag Racing
Can a Ferrari SF90 Stradale beat a BMW M 1000 RR in a drag racing showdown? CarWow wanted to find out so they pit the supercar against the superbike in a race to see who would come out on top. The former is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0L V8, paired with three electric motors, that generate a combined 986 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.

BMW’s sleek M 1000 RR is powered by a 999cc four-cylinder engine with premium titanium components that produce 205 hp and 83 lb-ft of torque in a far lighter package, or 423-pounds to be exact. Keeping the bike planted at high speeds requires carbon fiber M Aero wheel covers that reduce turbulence at the front wheel. Most would write off the SF90 Stradale due to its 3,170-pound weight difference between the two, but the results are quite surprising to say the least.

The newly designed M winglets made of carbon, on the other hand, increase the downforce of the front wheel by up to 13.8 lbs – even when leaning. And they provide 49.8 lbs of downforce at 186 mph on the track, giving riders more confidence during extreme tilts and at high cornering speeds,” said BMW.
