It measures 6.2″ x 5.2″ x 1.3″ and has a chassis made of duralumin, which is an age-hardenable aluminum alloy. This means that the handheld personal computer weighed in at just 1.39-pounds with the battery inserted, a standard 7.2 V lithium-ion pack, the same one used in Video8 camcorders at the time. Other features include an 89-key keyboard laid out in the JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) format and a small digitizer for handwritten notes, complete with mouse buttons for left- and right-clicking.

How is sound? Well, despite its size, the Palm Top PC 110 boasted both a speaker and microphone, powered by a Sound Blaster-compatible chip. Plus, there is also an integrated voice–data modem with a swing-out modem jack engineered jointly by IBM, Ricoh and Hosiden, allowing for voice communication using PC 110’s speaker / microphone, transforming it into a phone of sorts.
