Sky Elements Drone Shows teamed up with You Tube personality Lee Steinfeld, better known as “Leonhart,” to put on a Pokémon battle unlike any other in Dallas, Texas. Why? Lee is hosting a “90s Pop Up Shop” dedicated to all things Pokémon at The Factory in Deep Ellum today, and this mid-air battle last night kicked things off. There’s no information on exactly what kind of drones were used, but they did form convincing Pikachu and Charizard characters. Read more for the video.
When the drones were all information, the image they formed measured 600-feet, complete with a 300-foot-tall Charizard. Sky Elements Drone Shows had to carefully plan this battle out using proprietary algorithms and 3D animation software like Blender. These custom-designed algorithms allowed their flight planning teams to create the perfect trajectories for each drone.
