Architecture Student Builds Possibly the World’s First Full-Sized Electric Batman Tumbler, Includes Hydraulic Doors – TechEBlog

Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” film is hitting theaters on March 4th, and what better way to celebrate than by building your very own Batmobile? Nguyen Dac Chung, a 23-year-old architecture student, did just that and took things to the next level. He created what could quite possibly be the world’s first full-sized electric Tumbler, the same one seen in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” trilogy. Weighing in at 1,322-pounds, it has an electric motor capable of hitting 65mph and is made mainly from 3D-printed components, along with ABS plastic, carbon fiber, as well as several other handmade components. The vehicle measures 145.6 inches in length, 94.5 inches and stands 51-inches tall, complete with seating for two passengers. Other features include 13-inch wheels up front and 18-inchers in the rear. There are two hydraulic doors that can be opened by remote control, while four tactical safety cameras keep things safe on the road.
