We’ve all missed travel these last two years, but the good news is that in person conferences are finally coming back on-line. Plenty are still virtual or hybrid though, so if you don’t want to leave your couch there are still events for you. With so many destinations to choose from, we’ve helped you narrow down with our list of 20 must-attend shows for 2022.

            January 27 – February 5, 2022 / Virtual 

Join with thousands of cybersecurity professionals worldwide to gain new perspectives and expand your knowledge base. This free event kicks off with two days of technical talks designed to up your security game, followed by a series of interactive panels, workshops, and networking events.

The line up includes some great speakers such as Katie Nichols, Rick Holland, and Ryan Kovar, making this event a must to start your year on the right track.

 

          February 22 – March 1, 2022 / Vancouver, Canada

Now in its 36th year, the AAAI Conference, sponsored by the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence, is the place to be for the latest thinking on all things AI. Bringing together AI researchers, practitioners, scientists, and engineers, the conference features speakers, tutorials, workshops and exhibitions, all selected according to the highest standards.

 

         March 1-3, 2022 / Tel Aviv, Israel

Bringing together cyber experts from across industry, government, and academia, the Cybertech conference spans three days and a wide range of topics, including AI and machine learning, cloud, intelligence, FinSec, critical infrastructure, ransomware, blockchain, quantum computing and so much more.

Speakers include Israel’s President, Isaac Herzog and General (ret.) David Petraeus, in addition to government ministers, academics and industry insiders, making it one not to miss. 

 

          March 2-3, 2022 / London, England

The Cloud & Cyber Security Expo brings business leaders together with security innovators and technologists to help them protect their assets and networks from attack. 

This year’s expo features a new ‘multi-functional zone’, an interactive hub for workshops, drop-in clinics, hackathons and roundtables.   1. ISDEF 2022

    March 21-23 / Tel Aviv, Israel

The eleventh annual ISDEF is set to be the largest defense, homeland security and cyber exhibition ever held in Israel. Bringing together 10,000 attendees, 300 companies and 50 official delegations, the event offers a unique opportunity to connect with key industry players from around the world. Topics include defense, HLS, mega-event protection, cybersecurity, intelligence, and counter-terrorism.

  1. CloudFest2022

    March 22-24, 2022 / Europa-Park, Germany 

The world’s premier internet infrastructure event, CloudFest 2022 is framed around three key themes: The Intelligent Edge, The Sustainable Cloud and Our Digital Future. More than 250 speakers have been packed into the three days, and with previous years having seen the likes of Edward Snowden, James Gosling and Eugene Kaspersky gracing the stage, they are sure to be worth watching.

The event also places a premium on fun: each day is rounded out by a karaoke session, and don’t forget to leave yourself some time for riding a rollercoaster or two, as the event takes place in one of Europe’s best theme parks.

 


  1. KB4CON Virtual Summit

    April 20-22, 2022 / Orlando, Florida

Hosted by security firm KnowBe4, this conference is tailor-made for security professionals who use KnowBe4’s products and want to expand their security expertise. Speakers include award-winning cybersecurity journalist Nicole Perlroth, and author Roger Grimes, as well as an ‘Ask me Anything’ session by CEO Stu Sjouwerman.

 


  1. IoTBDS 2022

    April 22-24, 2022 / Virtual

The 7th International Conference on Internet of Things, Big Data and Security. Themes include: Big data research, emerging services and analytics, the Internet of Things, and security, privacy and trust. Keynote speakers include Jie Lu of the University of Technology Sydney, Australia, Zoran Obradovic of Temple University, United States, Rajkumar Buyya of the University of Melbourne, and Antonio Iera of the University of Calabria, Italy.

 


  1. ISACA Conference North America

    4-6 May 2022 / New Orleans, LA / Virtual

Part of a global series of conferences hosted by ISACA, the conference features presentations from a wide range of speakers on topics including governance, risk, privacy, emerging tech, performance management and career development.

The conference kicks off with a ‘campfire chat’ with Rob Clyde and Tim Brown, CISO of Solar Winds, and will be rounded out with a keynote speech from Katie O’Neill on ‘The Future of Trust’.

 


  1. Cyber Security for Critical Assets Summit

    May 5, 2022 / Virtual

This marathon event unites the globe for 24 hours, chasing the sun starting with speakers from the Asia-Pacific region, through to the Middle East and North Africa before passing the baton to Europe, then on to Latin America and finishing up in North America. The format allows industry professionals from around the globe to meet and connect with their peers, regardless of geographical boundaries.

This year’s event has a focus on cyber resilience in a post-pandemic world, drawing on the expertise of cyber security leaders from the oil & gas, energy, water, mining, and chemical industries.

 


  1. AusCERT 2022

    May 8-13, 2022 / Gold Coast, Australia / Virtual 

The oldest cybersecurity conference in Australia enters its 21st year in great style. This year’s theme is ‘Rethink, Reskill, Reboot,’ as conference organizers encourage you to take a fresh look at the knowledge and skills you need to engage in cutting-edge cyber security practices. More than 50 speakers from Australia and New Zealand will take to the stage, and for those who can’t make it down under, the conference will be live-streamed.   1. CYBERUK 2021

    May 10-11, 2022 / Newport, Wales / Virtual

The flagship event of the UK government’s National Cyber Security Centre, CYBERUK positions itself as the authoritative event for the UK’s cyber security community. This year’s theme builds upon the UK’s recently published National Cyber Strategy, uniting government, industry, and academia to discuss the challenges ahead.

On the program are plenary sessions, live networking opportunities, lightning talks and interactive workshops, with much of the event’s activities being streamed online for remote attendees.

 

  1. May 10-11, 2022 / Prior Lake, Minnesota

Secure360’s focus is security and risk management education, and the theme this year is: Securing Our Ever-Changing World. Key topics include governance, risk and compliance, information security, physical security, business continuity management, and professional development.

In addition to a range of speakers and break-out sessions, conference goers can hear keynote speeches from motivational speaker and drummer Mark Schulman, and cyber security, intelligence, and national security expert Tyler Cohen Wood.

 


  1. Black Hat Asia 2022

    May 10-13, 2022 / Virtual (Singapore time zone)

The Black Hat events sprang from a single conference in 1997 to become a highly respected global series of conferences held annually. Conference goers at all career levels can access Black Hat’s signature Briefings and Trainings, held over multiple days.

The Briefings content covers topics such as data forensics and incident response, malware, applied security and cloud and platform security.

 

         June 2-9, 2022 / Orlando, Florida / Virtual

This free event leads with a two-day virtual summit with a focus on actionable ideas, methods, and techniques for safeguarding critical infrastructures. On the program are sessions on case studies and success stories, live attack demonstrations and how to stop them, understanding what an attack against your organization will look like, and mitigation techniques.

After the summit, attendees can stay on to take part in a hands-on, immersive SANS ICS course, taught by experienced practitioners. Courses take place both online and in person in Florida.

 

  1. June 6-9, 2022 / San Francisco, California / Virtual

Join conversations with fellow professionals, discover innovative solutions in the sandboxes, watch start-ups go head-to-head in the 17th annual RSAC Innovation Sandbox Contest, and discover emerging companies in the RSAC Early Stage Expo over four days in June. Delegates can choose from a range of passes priced between $50 and $1,995, depending upon how much of the event they wish to access.

 


  1. Hack in Paris

    June 27 – July 1, 2022 / Paris, France

This steadily growing event has now reached its first decade and continues to bring security experts together to get a hands-on feel for hacking and how to counter it. The program covers high end IT security, industrial espionage, penetration testing, physical security, forensics, malware analysis techniques and countermeasures.   1. Black Hat USA 2022

    August 6-11, 2022 / Las Vegas, Nevada.

  1. DEF CON 30

    August 11 – 14, 2022 / Las Vegas, Nevada / Discord

DEF CON turns 30 this year! In celebration both of having reached that milestone and being reunited in person after the pandemic sent the event online, DEF CON 30 has been dubbed the ‘Hacker Homecoming’. In their own words, this year’s classic hacker event “is about celebrating the past and getting geeked about the future.”

Take part in a range of activities including contests, capture the flag games, movie marathons, scavenger hunts, lock picking, warez trading, music gigs and more.

 

  1. September 12-14, 2022 / Atlanta, Georgia / Virtual

Round out the conference year by reconvening with security professionals to look ahead at what’s to come for the industry. The conference offers a wealth of opportunities for networking, discovering new products and innovations, and developing new strategies to counter threats.           November 29-30, 2022 in Jerusalem, Israel

The International Conference on Cyber Security and Resilience is a project of World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology Aiming to bring together leading researchers, research scholars and academic scientists, to share and discuss their experiences, research results and knowledge on all things Cyber Security and Resilience. 

The conference provides a platform for displaying the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns alongside the practical challenges encountered and the solutions found for them in the fields of Cyber Security and Resilience. More details will be released soon.
