This is not an early April Fools’ joke, just the Mada 9, Afghanistan’s very first supercar, which has been in development for five years now at the country’s Navavari Center of Technical and Vocational Education. A prototype already exists, made from lightweight composite materials and a tubular frame chassis as well as an F1-style pushrod suspension.
Engine specs have not yet been revealed, although we expect those numbers to be coming in soon as the Mada 9 concept is set to be showcased in Qatar later this month. At the very least, this supercar has made it out of the render phase, but Afghanistan hopes that it can compete with the latest Bugatti models once the vehicle goes into production. Hopefully, it makes it further into production than the 5,000hp Devel Sixteen.
