BYD’s YangWang U9 electric supercar is one you probably never knew existed, and costs less than a Porsche Taycan Turbo. Priced at just over $145,000 USD, this EV is rumored to have four indepedent electric motors that generate a combined 1,150hp+ and 1,000 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.0-seconds flat.
Not much information has been revealed about the YangWang U9, but we can see McLaren 570S-inspired dihedral doors that swing open to make it easier to get in and out. Aesthetically, it boasts a transparent fin in the rear, LED taillights, C-shaped headlights, F1-style front fascia, side air intakes, and a duo-tone finish with possibly carbon fiber bits around the body. One caveat: BYD has no plans to bring any of their vehicles stateside.
