Mazda RX-7 turned Ferrari F40, now check out this Toyota MR2 that was transformed into a Ferrari F430 replica. Unlike typical knockoffs, this one caught the eye of Italian police in the city of Asti, as it was stopped for being too loud and then had experts called in to verify its authenticity.
This owner made sure that no detail was left out, including the steering wheel, badges, and even the F430 side mirrors. Since they were unable to provide the legal documents proving that this vehicle is an authentic Ferrari, the vehicle was seized and the owner arrested for using registered trademarks without explicit permission from the Maranello-based automaker. The Ferrari F430 was manufactured between 2004-2009, powered by a naturally-aspirated 4.3L V8 engine generating 483 hp and 343 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed Graziano ‘F1’ automated manual gearbox.
