AFCON 2021 3rd Place Match: Cameroon will face Burkina Faso in the third/fourth-place play-off, which has been brought forward a day to Saturday 5th February (19:00 GMT).

The TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, Cameroon 2021 is coming to a close as host nation, Cameroon after failing to beat Egypt in the semi-finals in a penalty shootout battle it out with the Stallions of Burkina Faso in a match to determine the third-placed team.

Burkina Faso lost to Senegal 3-1 as the Teranga Lions struck three times in the last 20 minutes to book their place in Sunday’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final.

The Pharaoh’s Goalkeeper Gabaski was the hero, saving two penalties as Egypt edged past hosts Cameroon in a penalty shootout after a goalless draw to set up an Africa Cup of Nations final against Senegal.

In the third-place decider, Cameroon will go face to face against Burkina Faso, who lost to Senegal on the other side of the semi-finals.
