After all, it\u2019s difficult to write content for someone you don\u2019t know or understand.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s where buyer personas come in.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-what-is-a-buyer-persona\"><strong>What is a buyer persona?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A buyer persona is a fictional person who represents your ideal customer or a portion of your audience. Their interests, challenges, and problems align with your audience\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>With a persona, you can write more engaging email content that resolves your audience\u2019s problems and speaks to their interests. Who are your best customers and repeat purchasers? Are there any similarities between them?<\/p>\n<p>By finding commonalities among your best customers, you can create a persona that\u2019ll help you attract more great customers.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-gather-customer-information\">Gather customer information<\/h3>\n<p>To gather information, try setting up a phone call or in-person interview with a customer who you love doing business with. These different categories will represent different personas.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if you\u2019re a fitness instructor, you may have clients who want to increase muscle and gain weight and others who want to lose weight. Since they have very different goals, you should create two separate personas for these clients.<\/p>\n<p>If you find that you need to gather more information about a certain persona, go back and do more research to find the missing information.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-step-4-give-your-personas-names-and-a-story\"><strong>Step 4: Give your personas names and a story<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The best way to write for and think about your buyer persona is to give them a name and a story!<\/p>\n<p>Assigning a name to your persona will remind you that you\u2019re speaking to an actual person. And creating a story will help you understand what their pain points and challenges are.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-how-to-write-a-buyer-persona\">How to write a buyer persona?<\/h3>\n<p>When writing your buyer persona you want to be able to answer the following questions:<\/p>\n<p>1 \u2013 What are their goals?<\/p>\n<p>2 \u2013 What are their challenges?<\/p>\n<p>3 \u2013 What motivates them?<\/p>\n<p>4 \u2013 What are their personality traits?<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind the more real you make your persona the better you\u2019ll be able to tailor your marketing efforts. This will also help you write more personalized content.<\/p>\n<p>You can even take it one step further and find an image or photo to represent your buyer persona! If you\u2019re not sure, do some research. Where did your customers come from that fit your ideal customer persona?<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-writing-marketing-messages\">Writing marketing messages<\/h3>\n<p>When it comes to writing your emails and content, keep your different persona in mind.
