About 47% \u201cstrongly agree\u201d with the same sentiment, highlighting the importance of delivering a relevant experience to customers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-blogfull wp-image-46612\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/komarketing.com\/images\/2022\/02\/ascend2-640x353.png 640w, https:\/\/komarketing.com\/images\/2022\/02\/ascend2-300x166.png 300w, https:\/\/komarketing.com\/images\/2022\/02\/ascend2.png 741w\" data-lazy-sizes=\"(max-width: 660px) calc(100vw - 20px), 640px\" src=\"https:\/\/komarketing.com\/images\/2022\/02\/ascend2-640x353.png\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-blogfull wp-image-46612\" src=\"https:\/\/komarketing.com\/images\/2022\/02\/ascend2-640x353.png\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/komarketing.com\/images\/2022\/02\/ascend2-640x353.png 640w, https:\/\/komarketing.com\/images\/2022\/02\/ascend2-300x166.png 300w, https:\/\/komarketing.com\/images\/2022\/02\/ascend2.png 741w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 660px) calc(100vw - 20px), 640px\"\/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>Increased customer retention (49%) was cited by marketers as the top benefit of having a successful personalization strategy. This was followed by improved customer experience (43%), increased engagement (43%) and increased revenue (41%).<\/p>\n<p>That being said, marketers have still faced challenges along the way. The majority (39%) claimed that it has been difficult to manage customer expectations, while 38% have faced budget constraints.<\/p>\n<h2>Marketers Pivoting to Adjust to Customer Demands<\/h2>\n<p>Marketers are benefiting from personalization, but previous research suggests that many expect to be up against more customer demands in the coming months.<\/p>\n<p>Mitto <a href=\"https:\/\/komarketing.com\/industry-news\/64-of-marketers-expect-customers-to-become-more-demanding-in-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conducted<\/a> \u201cThe State of the Customer Experience\u201d report, and data indicated that 64% of marketers believe customers will ultimately become more demanding over the next 12 months. Nearly 32% are expecting customer demands to at least remain the same, while only 4% predict their customers will become less demanding.<\/p>\n<p>More marketers now appear to be boosting their investment in the customer experience, especially those with an omnichannel strategy.
