AWDF has two <a href=\"https:\/\/dmartpreneur.com\/banking-money\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"tadv-color\">funding streams<\/span><\/strong><\/a> you can apply to: <strong>Main Grants and KASA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>AWDF defines a woman led organisation as an organisation whose board chair and executive director are both women. Also at least 70% of the board and staff members of the organisation are women.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Priorities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For this round of <a href=\"https:\/\/dmartpreneur.com\/loans-grants\/grants\/\"><strong>grant<\/strong><\/a> making they will prioritise the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Organisations working in French speaking African countries<\/li>\n<li>Organisations working in two or more African countries<\/li>\n<li>Young women led organisations<\/li>\n<li>LBTQI led organisations<\/li>\n<li>Women living with disabilities led organisations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Streams<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They have two funding streams you can apply to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Main Grants for women led organisations registered and working in Africa and<\/li>\n<li>Kasa! for women led organisations registered and operating in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal and working on sexual violence issues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"awdf-application-guidance\"><strong>AWDF Application Guidance<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>MAIN GRANTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Main <a href=\"https:\/\/dmartpreneur.com\/loans-grants\/grants\/\">grants<\/a> support work around all of AWDF\u2019s three thematic areas<\/li>\n<li>Organisations located in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal, working on sexual violence can apply for both the Main grant and the Kasa fund<\/li>\n<li>Organisations working in two or more countries are encouraged to apply<\/li>\n<li>For the main grant, an organisation working in two or more countries can apply for a maximum of USD100,000 for one year. With this you can apply for only a one-year grant<\/li>\n<li>For the main grant, an organisation working in one country can apply for up to a maximum of USD50,000 per year for two years<\/li>\n<li>Please note that AWDF can provide funding to a maximum of 50% of an applicant organisation\u2019s confirmed income for 2021. For example, if your confirmed income for 2021 was USD50,000, you can apply for a maximum of up to USD25,000 per year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KASA<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Kasa! grant is specifically for work around sexual violence. The Sexual Violence Research Initiative defines sexual violence.<\/li>\n<li>Please DO NOT apply for the Kasa! grant if your organisation is not based in nor working in Ghana, Nigeria or Senegal<\/li>\n<li>Organisations located in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal, working on sexual violence can apply for both the Main grant and the Kasa! fund to work on different aspect of sexual violence or sexual violence and another theme.<\/li>\n<li>For organisations in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal who intend to apply for the Kasa! grant, please note that the Kasa! grant is specifically for work around sexual violence issues in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal<\/li>\n<li>For the Kasa! grant, you can apply for a grant of up to USD30,000 per year if your 2021 confirmed income can support that<\/li>\n<li>For the Kasa! grant you can apply for grant up to a maximum of 3 years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please note that AWDF can provide <a href=\"https:\/\/dmartpreneur.com\/loans-grants\/\"><strong>funding<\/strong><\/a> to a maximum of 50% of an applicant organisation\u2019s confirmed income for 2021 per year.
