The platforms were categorized into four groups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leaders<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/products\/sales-cloud\/overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Salesforce Cloud<\/a> remains in the top CRM spot, with over <a href=\"https:\/\/expandedramblings.com\/index.php\/salesforce-statistics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">150,000<\/a> customers and occupying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/972598\/crm-applications-vendors-market-share-worldwide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">19.5%<\/a> of the market share. It\u2019s followed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pega.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pegasystems<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/dynamics.microsoft.com\/en-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Microsoft<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zendesk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zendesk<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.servicenow.com\/products\/customer-service-management\/what-is-crm.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ServiceNow<\/a>, each taking up other areas of the market.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Challengers<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sap.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SAP<\/a>, a growing CRM platform, was the only software in this category. Its geographic reach, cloud service, and customer service management make it a contender for the leader group.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Niche<\/strong>. Verint\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verint.com\/customer-engagement-cloud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Customer Engagement Platform<\/a> was marked as an impressive niche option due to its omnichannel capabilities and analytics tools. Appian\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/appian.com\/solutions\/use-case\/customer-journey.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Customer Engagement Operations<\/a> is also considered an important niche player, offering a variety of full-stack automation capabilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Visionaries<\/strong>. Gartner chose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freshworks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Freshworks<\/a> as its only visionary in its report, but its unique capabilities make it a solid niche option as well.
