We analyzed emails from the top marketing experts to find out how long your email should be. <\/p>\n

Nearly every business with an email marketing strategy wonders how to write the perfect email. They question the length of their emails. (Short or long?)<\/em> They wonder how they can get more people to open their emails.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And there isn\u2019t a simple answer to these questions \u2014 until now.<\/p>\n

With the help of AWeber\u2019s data scientist, we analyzed 1,000 emails from 100 of today\u2019s top marketers. Our goal? Gather email marketing statistics that will answer how long an email should be.<\/p>\n

The 100 experts we analyzed are the best of the best. Their email strategies engage thousands and drive millions in revenue. Many of them see unheard of results (like 80% open rates and 30% click-through rates).<\/p>\n

The average email length<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Of the 1,000 emails we analyzed, we found that emails have 434.48 words on average. 434 words takes approximately 3.3 minutes to read.<\/p>\n
