So, he decided to swap out its 318 V8 engine for one from a Tesla Model S. This wasn\u2019t as simple as swapping in the battery, but rather the complete Tesla Model S rear subframe had to be installed, complete with brakes, half shafts, inverter and more. Unlike the standard Tesla Model S battery pack, Kevin had to remove the individual modules, which explains why four of them are in the trunk, while the rest can be found where its V8 engine once was. Power is required to be fed through aftermarket components before reaching the rear wheels.
