Apple is beginning to accumulate data from dispatchers working in 911 name facilities about incorrect calls from skiers’ iPhones<\/a> triggered by Emergency SOS and Crash Detection. <\/p>\n

The introduction of the Crash Detection function for the iPhone 14<\/a> and Apple Watch<\/a> has led to an increase in calls to emergency providers, with false positives<\/a> resulting in pointless calls and pulling consideration from actual emergencies. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
