Google\u2019s results got more personal with Search Plus Your World<\/h2>\n

In 2012, Google\u2019s search results were radically transformed as a new \u201cSearch Plus Your World\u201d format began rolling out.<\/p>\n

Google started mixing together content from the web with content that had been shared with you privately into a single set of listings.<\/p>\n

Search Plus Your World didn\u2019t cover content on Facebook, Twitter, or any social networks where content could be shared to a more limited audience. Really, \u201cSearch Plus Your World\u201d was best described as \u201cSearch Plus Google+\u201d<\/p>\n

Twitter was quick to express concerns, stating that Search Plus Your World was \u201cbad for people, publishers, news organizations and Twitter users.\u201d<\/p>\n
