For the most part, CES 2023 has been fairly normal, except for the Roland 50th Anniversary Concept Piano<\/a>. Aesthetically, its one-piece molded wooden body, designed in collaboration with Japanese furniture maker Karimoku, is comprised of Japanese oak wood and provides deep piano tones from its unique speakers.<\/p>\n

What really sets the Roland 50th anniversary piano apart from all of the others is its 360-degree speaker system, which is able to send sound in any direction through its 14 adjustable speakers placed strategically throughout, along with multiple drone speakers. What you can\u2019t see is that these drones operate on a low latency dedicated communication channel, enabling users to control their positioning as they play. This meanas the concept piano is capable of providing the sound quality of classic instruments, while maintaining the modern enhancements of Roland technology. There\u2019s no word yet on if it will go into production, although you can see it in person at CES 2023 through January 8th in the Central Hall.<\/p>\n
