But the reality is that most get dashed against the reefs of doubt and stalled at the starting gate.<\/p>\n

Fear that you will fail.<\/p>\n

So we embrace the familiar and step back into its comfort.<\/p>\n

We stall.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s the place where we fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The inaction unnoticed.<\/p>\n

Part of us wants a new and exciting future.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To soar rather than crawl.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We seem to be wired to neuter.<\/p>\n

The hope that was within our dreaming young self is often caged.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Left behind and forgotten.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The result?<\/p>\n

Regret.<\/p>\n

Enraged.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In old age.<\/p>\n

We make it hobble.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Forgetting the daydream that leads to the possible.<\/p>\n

The safe self would rather withdraw into the vicarious corner of living through other people.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We TikTok and Instagram and watch others with voyeur eyes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Judging our fearful insides by the outside veneer of others.<\/p>\n

Forgetting to create for ourselves.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Living second hand lives.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We dive into the social media images of others and forget to make our own today.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you never start\u2026\u00a0<\/p>\n

That means you have already failed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Resistance to starting is a built-in self protection switch.<\/p>\n

We stay with what works today instead of choosing a dream that may reveal the sweet taste of a tomorrow realized.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Because that comes with the possibility of failure.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Safe knowing sits between numbing normalcy and aspired and actualized adventure.<\/p>\n

We stay with the known rather than explore the promise of the unknown.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Failure is an option but its teachings are invigorating.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But palpitating.<\/p>\n

A mistake is either a learning or a turning.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Back.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s a mindset setback.<\/p>\n

But you choose.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Win or lose.<\/p>\n

True education is not a college degree.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a journey of learning by doing.<\/p>\n

The rigor mortis of familiar trumps the journey of the unknown place of growing and the yet to be explored curiosity that was our child.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We\u2019d like to peer around the corner and climb over the mountain.<\/p>\n

Instead we just open the same box of the safe.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We want to start on the trail yet we are still sitting in the carpark and looking out the window.\u00a0<\/p>\n

By letting the resistance of inaction and fear take control we leave behind the forgotten child of joyful play to be placed in the calcified corner of safe decay.\u00a0<\/p>\n

So what does the new year promise?<\/p>\n

We all have 365 days.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What do you do with that?<\/p>\n

Unfulfilled resolutions?<\/p>\n

Or personal revolutions.<\/p>\n

Acted on.<\/p>\n

Or paused in fear?\u00a0<\/p>\n

We daydream and want more but our programming traps us in frozen frameworks of the familiar.<\/p>\n

Cognitive bias works in a slow moving world.<\/p>\n

But restrains us in the revolving world of fast and constant change.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We see with eyes that have been taught to lean into others templates rather than our own matrix and the metaverse of our potential.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

So how do you implement?<\/p>\n

Act in imperfect forment?<\/p>\n

So how do you move?<\/p>\n

How do you choose?<\/p>\n

How do you act?<\/p>\n

Make a pact.<\/p>\n

To start?\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Starting requires movement. <\/p>\n

Not a neuron notion.<\/p>\n

An act.<\/p>\n

Motivation is simple but hard to reveal.<\/p>\n

Unless you tap your drive hidden amongst the dross of life.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Moving forward is often forced. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Flow is needed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Action comes out of the tension between the paradox of fear and the quiet motivation that shows up everyday as an often ignored and discarded idea.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Finding what you love and loving what you do is a duality.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The ambiguity of passion and process.<\/p>\n

Heart and mind.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Finding what you love is\u2026<\/p>\n

Where an idea meets your passionate purpose.<\/p>\n

Or a problem observed that meets a possible solution.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s the resolution\u00a0<\/p>\n

Of the dream.<\/p>\n

Curiosity that taps your innate strengths is a good place to start.<\/p>\n

That is for you to discover.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s the whisper.<\/p>\n

An art.<\/p>\n

Loving what you do\u2026<\/p>\n

Is a daily practice and a process.<\/p>\n

That is sitting down everyday and doing the work.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Strapping yourself in writing one word. Then another.<\/p>\n

The mundane becomes magic as the daily art of imperfect creation turns from playing the scales to creating a symphony.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The art of the start is an action that takes an idea and makes it real.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s the only way to make a difference<\/p>\n

And change worlds.<\/p>\n

Yours and theirs.<\/p>\n

Nothing happens until you start.<\/p>\n

Make this year the one where dreams grow.<\/p>\n

And flow.<\/p>\n
