These are two content writing tools that content marketers can use to write better content faster. The good news is \u2013 you\u2019re still not replaceable.<\/p>\n<p>Have you heard of this ChatGPT AI tool? This is an AI chatbot that has content folks, nerds, and the internet losing their collective minds about its capabilities. We\u2019ll get to that.<\/p>\n<p>Then there\u2019s Jasper.ai, a more established <a href=\"https:\/\/diymarketers.com\/ai-writing-software\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"76956\" data-lasso-id=\"26778\">AI writing tool<\/a> primarily used by content marketers to generate everything from blogs, to landing pages, and facebook ads.<span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-615\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Now, there are DOZENS of AI writing tools out there, I\u2019ve written about several of them <a href=\"https:\/\/diymarketers.com\/ai-software\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-lasso-id=\"26779\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/diymarketers.com\/ai-writing-software\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-lasso-id=\"26780\">here<\/a>. But, we\u2019re not going to talk about them here.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-197\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"\/><span class=\"ezoic-ad ezoic-at-0 medrectangle-3 medrectangle-3197 adtester-container adtester-container-197\" data-ez-name=\"diymarketers_com-medrectangle-3\"><span id=\"div-gpt-ad-diymarketers_com-medrectangle-3-0\" ezaw=\"580\" ezah=\"400\" style=\"position:relative;z-index:0;display:inline-block;padding:0;min-height:400px;min-width:580px\" class=\"ezoic-ad\"\/><\/span>In this article, I want to explore the differences between <a href=\"https:\/\/chat.openai.com\/\" data-lasso-id=\"26781\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ChatGPT\u2019s chat bot<\/a> and Jasper.ai\u2019s new chat feature and help you leverage these two powerful tools.<\/p>\n<p>These are just MY opinions based on my experience so far.<\/p>\n<p>I highly encourage you to play with both tools and find your own system.<\/p>\n<p>But first, I want to address a few AI mindset basics.<\/p>\n<h2>AI Tools Tickle Your Thinking \u2013 They Don\u2019t REPLACE Thinking<\/h2>\n<p>I like to use AI tools like my brainstorm buddy. If you\u2019re a solopreneur and\/or content creator, you know the struggle of brainstorming content and information without having someone to bounce ideas of of.<\/p>\n<p>This is where these AI tools have really delivered for me. For example, I\u2019m writing this article inside the Jasper.ai document editor. <span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-199\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"\/><span class=\"ezoic-ad ezoic-at-0 medrectangle-4 medrectangle-4199 adtester-container adtester-container-199\" data-ez-name=\"diymarketers_com-medrectangle-4\"><span id=\"div-gpt-ad-diymarketers_com-medrectangle-4-0\" ezaw=\"250\" ezah=\"250\" style=\"position:relative;z-index:0;display:inline-block;padding:0;width:100%;max-width:1200px;margin-left:auto!important;margin-right:auto!important;min-height:250px;min-width:300px\" class=\"ezoic-ad\"\/><\/span><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m two paragraphs in, and I\u2019ve not used the tool at all. Just being inside the platform and knowing that I can press a button and have the AI complete a sentence, helps me keep writing. If I get stuck, I press the \u201ccompose\u201d button, the AI writes something and this triggers ideas and thoughts, and I write it my own way.<\/p>\n<p>In general the biggest benefit of AI tools (for me, anyway) is their ability to synthesize gazillion bits of information and plop them down onto your screen for review.<\/p>\n<p>Now, I\u2019m a much better editor, criticizer, and fixer than creator. So this AI feature is brilliant for me.<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s ChatGPT and How Does it Work<\/h2>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-600\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"\/><span class=\"ezoic-ad ezoic-at-0 box-4 box-4600 adtester-container adtester-container-600\" data-ez-name=\"diymarketers_com-box-4\"><span id=\"div-gpt-ad-diymarketers_com-box-4-0\" ezaw=\"250\" ezah=\"250\" style=\"position:relative;z-index:0;display:inline-block;padding:0;width:100%;max-width:1200px;margin-left:auto!important;margin-right:auto!important;min-height:250px;min-width:300px\" class=\"ezoic-ad\"\/><\/span>ChatGPT is an AI chat tool developed by the folks at open.ai (who also brought you Dall-e, the ai art tool). ChatGPT doesn\u2019t get the nuances of conversations. Of course, you can rephrase things until you get what you\u2019re looking for.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ezoic-autoinsert-ad ezoic-under_first_paragraph\"\/><\/p>\n<p>But, let\u2019s be clear, do NOT count on ANY AI tool to be factual. I\u2019ve not found a character limit for inputs.<\/li>\n<li>ChatGPT is currently free<\/li>\n<li>It can understand and respond to questions people ask in a way that sounds natural.<\/li>\n<li>ChatFPT\u2019s technology produces text that is like what a human would write. It can respond to everything from stories to Mathematical solutions to theoretical essays.<\/li>\n<li>ChatGPT is unlike any other chatbot because it has the remarkable ability to remember earlier comments throughout a conversation and recount them back to you.<\/li>\n<li>Its intelligence can provide a detailed answer to everything from creating outlines, analyzing content, some folks have even created song lyrics, poems, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.codingem.com\/chatgpt\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-lasso-id=\"26782\">computer code<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What is Jasper\u2019s Chat Function<\/h2>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-601\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"\/><span class=\"ezoic-ad ezoic-at-0 banner-1 banner-1601 adtester-container adtester-container-601\" data-ez-name=\"diymarketers_com-banner-1\"><span id=\"div-gpt-ad-diymarketers_com-banner-1-0\" ezaw=\"336\" ezah=\"280\" style=\"position:relative;z-index:0;display:inline-block;padding:0;width:100%;max-width:1200px;margin-left:auto!important;margin-right:auto!important;min-height:250px;min-width:300px\" class=\"ezoic-ad\"\/><\/span>I\u2019ve been an early adopter of Jasper.ai. And, I\u2019m in the platform for several hours a day. So the engagement with the platform is very similar.<span class=\"ezoic-autoinsert-ad ezoic-under_second_paragraph\"\/><\/li>\n<li>Jasper doesn\u2019t \u201cseem\u201d to have an input character limit \u2014 but when I overwhelm the prompt with too much information \u2013 more than 1000 characters, it has glitched. But not always. It\u2019s fuzzy.<\/li>\n<li>Jasper\u2019s chat function is free for now.<\/li>\n<li>You can generate content in 25 different languages. Since I speak Serbo-Croatian, I tested Jasper by asking him to give me a recipe for \u201cGibanica\u201d (an egg and cheese pie). Jasper is letting their paying customers play with Jasper chat for free right now, so using the chat will not cost you any credits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Uptime Winner \u2013 Jasper<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-602\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"\/><span class=\"ezoic-ad ezoic-at-0 large-leaderboard-2 large-leaderboard-2602 adtester-container adtester-container-602\" data-ez-name=\"diymarketers_com-large-leaderboard-2\"><span id=\"div-gpt-ad-diymarketers_com-large-leaderboard-2-0\" ezaw=\"250\" ezah=\"250\" style=\"position:relative;z-index:0;display:inline-block;padding:0;width:100%;max-width:1200px;margin-left:auto!important;margin-right:auto!important;min-height:250px;min-width:300px\" class=\"ezoic-ad\"\/><\/span>Since ChatGPT is free and currently going viral, it glitches \u2014 a lot. In other words, you can\u2019t count on it being there when you want to use it. Yes, Jasper will cost you money, but it\u2019s always up and delivers content.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Results History Winner- ChatGPT <\/strong>: Both Jasper and ChatGPT save a history of outputs. Jasper puts it in your history, but only saves the result. ChatGPT has a history of the entire conversation.<\/p>\n<p>This is a recent update that I really love. There is a history of all my requests in the left sidebar. ChatGPT also include both the prompts and the answers. But I will say that my experiment with \u201cGibanica\u201d was more cumbersome with ChatGPT than Jasper.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-603\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"\/><span class=\"ezoic-ad ezoic-at-0 leader-1 leader-1603 adtester-container adtester-container-603\" data-ez-name=\"diymarketers_com-leader-1\"><span id=\"div-gpt-ad-diymarketers_com-leader-1-0\" ezaw=\"300\" ezah=\"250\" style=\"position:relative;z-index:0;display:inline-block;padding:0;min-height:250px;min-width:300px\" class=\"ezoic-ad\"\/><\/span>Jasper immediately recognized my input in Serbian and delivered a recipe in Serbian. If you are a SurferSEO user, you can start optimizing your copy inside of Jasper.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Creating a Brief<\/h3>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-609\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"\/>If you\u2019re outsourcing your writing, ChatGPTs outlines and briefs are a great place to start. Review each section, made additions and edits and within minutes, your writer will have everything they need.<\/p>\n<h3>Writing the Content<\/h3>\n<p>Eliminate that horrible staring at a blank screen event by letting the AI start the writing for you. I love starting with ChatGPT just to see what it writes.<\/p>\n<p>BE CAREFUL<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Just because these tools write in complete sentences, the tone is slightly stilted, you can absolutely tell that it\u2019s not written by a human being.<\/li>\n<li>The facts are often incorrect. The data for these tools stops at 2021. These tools are not searching Google. And often, they simply insert random information where actual facts should be.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Use the outputs from these tools to help you get moving. It\u2019s often easier to edit and update something than it is to stare at a blank page.<\/p>\n<h3>Optimizing Content for SEO<\/h3>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-610\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"\/>You might have noticed that I added SEO type instructions in my prompts, but there\u2019s no way to know if the AI tool actually did that. Again, do your own SEO, and optimize your content using tools like SurferSEO.<\/p>\n<h2>Features I\u2019d like to see<\/h2>\n<p>As I mentioned before, Jasper and ChatGPT are not competitors, They are in a partnership and Jasper has already integrated the ChatGPT AI image creator (for an extra cost). So here are some features I\u2019d like to see.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Smarter with SEO: These AI writing tools are insanely good with natural language output. But very few AI tools are able to write \u201cSEO optimized\u201d content. That, my friends is still up to great content creators.<\/li>\n<li>Better, smarter images for blog posts and socials: Currently, you have to either upload your own images or create images with Dall-e inside Jasper. I\u2019m not using Dall-e right now because I\u2019m terrible at describing images and I didn\u2019t like anything I created when it was free. I\u2019d love to see a sort of AI photography creator that looks like stock, but is completely unique. Maybe that\u2019s out there, I haven\u2019t found anything I liked.<\/li>\n<li>I\u2019d love to see Jasper\u2019s chat be more integrated or be able to read\/see the article content that\u2019s being written in the editor. There is no easy way to give it context; you can\u2019t copy and paste thousands of words, and it doesn\u2019t look at the editor. With ChatGPT, you can paste all your content after your request and it will use it for reference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Conclusion<\/h2>\n<p>So, there you have it folks \u2013 a comparison of Jasper\u2019s chat feature and ChatGPT, two AI tools that can help content marketers create great content fast. But don\u2019t just take our word for it \u2013 try them out for yourself and see which one works best for your needs.
