The <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/regmedia.co.uk\/2022\/12\/16\/cwa_ohio_complaint.pdf\" rel=\"noopener\">complaint<\/a> [PDF] contends Apple created an employer-controlled labor group called &#8220;Employee Forum&#8221; By February 2022, according to <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/technology\/2022\/02\/18\/apple-retail-stores-union-labor\/\">The Washington Post<\/a>, there were at least two Apple Store locations preparing to unionize and another six considering doing so.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, staff at Apple Stores in <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.com\/2022\/06\/20\/apple_maryland_union\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Towson, Maryland<\/a> and in <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/cwa-union.org\/news\/releases\/workers-penn-square-apple-store-oklahoma-city-celebrate-groundbreaking-win\">Oklahoma City<\/a> have officially recognized unions. And organization efforts have recently <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2022\/12\/15\/apple-store-staff\/\">reached the UK<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Employees at the Apple Store in <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/appleretailunion.org\/atl-cumberland-mall\">Cumberland Mall, Atlanta<\/a>, filed for a union election in April but subsequently withdrew that request and alleged that Apple had engaged in unlawful union-busting. Ten days ago, the NLRB <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.com\/2022\/12\/06\/apple_atlanta_labor_nlrb\/\" rel=\"noopener\">found it likely that Apple had violated the law<\/a> with regard to the Atlanta organization effort, which puts pressure on Apple to agree to a settlement.<\/p>\n<p>In St Louis, Missouri, Apple Store employees <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2022\/11\/23\/st-louis-apple-store-abandons-plans-to-unionize\/\">withdrew a request to vote on a union<\/a>, based on hostility from Apple management.
