Spirited\u00a0<\/em>has become the most-watched Apple TV+ movie to date, Apple has confirmed.<\/p>\n

While the tech giant doesn\u2019t reveal exact Apple TV+ viewership figures,Deadline\u00a0<\/em><\/a>reports<\/a> that\u00a0Spirited<\/em> has brought in 27 percent new viewers to Apple TV+ since premiering on November 11th.<\/p>\n

Vancouver\u2019s own Ryan Reynolds, who co-stars in the Christmas musical comedy alongside Will Ferrell, took to social media to celebrate the milestone.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that Apple TV+ only has a couple dozen original movies, so this isn\u2019t as significant a record as it might have been on other streaming services with more content. Still, it\u2019s another feather in Reynolds\u2019 cap, as he\u2019s also the only actor to have three movies \u2014 6 Underground<\/em>,\u00a0Red Notice\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0The Adam Project<\/em> \u2014 in Netflix\u2019s Top 10<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In Canada, his recent critically-acclaimed Welcome to Wrexham\u00a0<\/em>docuseries streams on Disney+<\/a>. It tells the story of the eponymous Welsh sports team, the world\u2019s third-oldest football club, and features Reynolds and fellow co-owner Rob McElhenney.<\/p>\n

Apple, meanwhile, has been ramping up its film production as of late. Following a Best Picture win for\u00a0CODA\u00a0<\/em>earlier this year, the streamer has put out notable films like\u00a0Causeway\u00a0<\/em>with Jennifer Lawrence and the Will Smith-led Emancipation.\u00a0<\/em>Next year will also see the likes of Martin Scorsese\u2019s Flowers of the Killer Moon\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Ghosted\u00a0<\/em>with Chris Evans and Ana De Armas.<\/p>\n
