With the crypto price in the deep freeze of another \u201ccrypto winter\u201d you may wonder when is the best time to buy bitcoin (BTC). Is now the time to accumulate some bitcoin to keep some of your savings?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s true that with bitcoin trading at around $19K for the coin on liquid exchange markets for most of Q3 and into Q4 through October of 2022, that bitcoin seems to be on sale for bargain bin prices. Bear in mind that just last November, BTC was trading at $68K for the coin on crypto exchanges.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s something that seems important about the $20K level to bitcoin markets. That\u2019s what\u2019s called psychological support when it\u2019s a level of price consolidation where the key level is a consistent price floor over time and varying factors in the price.<\/p>\n

When it\u2019s a level that the market cannot break past, then it\u2019s psychological resistance at that level.<\/p>\n

So bitcoin has been consolidating around the $20K level since June, after a brutal correction from the Nov 2021 all-time high BTC price of around $68K. That\u2019s two consecutive quarters, so that\u2019s pretty good.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a good showing of the potential that $20K is now a firm floor for the bitcoin price.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s wild, because not so long ago, just back in December 2017, the bitcoin price reached $20K for the very first time in its history.<\/p>\n

After inevitably correcting, it would take years to hit that level again in 2020. So a lot has happened since 2017 and since 2020, in the world and in the cryptocurrency <\/a>industry.<\/div>\n

And these developments have, in the opinion of the author, really cemented bitcoin and the entire crypto class of digital property as not only here to stay, but likely the vanguard of the next wave of disruptive innovation over the planet\u2019s connected computer networks, as the social media and mobile apps of the last wave, and dot coms of the one before it were.<\/p>\n
