A recently approved Apple patent may have leaked a future drone<\/a> device and controller functionality. This patent could be used in many applications including drone systems and pairing\/unpairing UAVs controllers. The latter of which refers to switching signals from the controller to cellular networks in case maximum range is exceeded by the drone.<\/p>\n

In Figure 9 (above), we see sketches of an unmanned aerial system (UAS) that includes one or more drones that can be controlled by a single user. Controllers 122a and 122b could apparently also be used to control different functions of a single drone, such as steering for one and speed using another. Unfortunately, there\u2019s no word yet on when or if the Apple Drone will be announced.<\/p>\n
