Infrastructure is still a challenge with electric cars: despite a steady increase in charging stations<\/a>, they are still vastly outnumbered by gas stations. General Motors is hoping to change that with a new initiative.<\/p>\n

GM has officially kicked off the \u201cDealer Community Charging Program\u201d that it announced last year<\/a>, which involves coordinating with GM dealerships to set up charging stations in busy areas across North America. The first stations have been installed \u201cat several locations in Marshfield, Wisconsin, including two parks, a library and a sports complex,\u201d in partnership with\u00a0Wheelers Chevrolet GMC. More stations were set up at\u00a0Memorial Healthcare Wellness Center in Owosso, Michigan, near\u00a0Young Chevrolet Cadillac, and GM expects more will go online in the \u201cweeks and months ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n
