{"id":21283,"date":"2022-12-06T11:49:17","date_gmt":"2022-12-06T11:49:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mailinvest.blog\/index.php\/2022\/12\/06\/nextdoor-kicks-off-neighborhood-give-back\/"},"modified":"2022-12-06T11:49:17","modified_gmt":"2022-12-06T11:49:17","slug":"nextdoor-kicks-off-neighborhood-give-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mailinvest.blog\/index.php\/2022\/12\/06\/nextdoor-kicks-off-neighborhood-give-back\/","title":{"rendered":"Nextdoor Kicks Off \u2018Neighborhood Give Back\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/go.fiverr.com\/visit\/?bta=1052423&nci=17043\" Target=\"_Top\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/fiverr.ck-cdn.com\/tn\/serve\/?cid=40081059\" loading=\"lazy\"  width=\"601\" height=\"201\"><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Neighborhood social network Nextdoor kicked off its first ever \u201cNeighborhood Give Back\u201d initiative, aimed at uniting neighbors around the common goal of helping others and driving action both online and in real-life.<\/p>\n<p>Nextdoor also teamed up with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.adweek.com\/agencies\/feeding-americas-sobering-psa-turns-sacrifice-into-food\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.adweek.com\/agencies\/feeding-americas-sobering-psa-turns-sacrifice-into-food\/\" target=\"_blank\">Feeding America<\/a>, the largest hunger-relief organization in the U.S., to encourage neighbors to leverage the application\u2019s <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.adweek.com\/performance-marketing\/nextdoor-paypal-giving-fund-team-up-on-sell-for-good\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.adweek.com\/performance-marketing\/nextdoor-paypal-giving-fund-team-up-on-sell-for-good\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sell for Good<\/a> feature to support efforts led by Feeding America.<\/p>\n<p>The company cited a study by Kindness.org that it commissioned with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.adweek.com\/convergent-tv\/nbc-and-verizon-want-fans-to-sink-into-la-brea-with-new-ar-experience\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.adweek.com\/convergent-tv\/nbc-and-verizon-want-fans-to-sink-into-la-brea-with-new-ar-experience\/\" target=\"_blank\">Verizon<\/a>, saying that Americans care about their neighbors 86% as much as they care about themselves, and the top cited acts of kindness for neighbors spanned organizing a local cleanup to simply telling them they matter.<\/p>\n<p>Nextdoor said people can take part in Neighborhood Give Back in several ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using the app\u2019s Sell for Good feature to sell and buy goods that directly benefit local nonprofits.<\/li>\n<li>Using the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.adweek.com\/media\/nextdoor-introduces-free-finds-feature\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.adweek.com\/media\/nextdoor-introduces-free-finds-feature\/\" target=\"_blank\">For Sale &amp; Free<\/a> section of the app to give or discover local and, often free, finds during the holiday season and beyond.<\/li>\n<li>Using Nextdoor\u2019s Events feature to create an event and share it with those nearby. The company wrote, \u201cFrom neighborly gatherings or hosting a charitable event, Events lets neighbors post in the newsfeed or <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.adweek.com\/performance-marketing\/nextdoor-adds-2-features-to-help-members-cope-with-the-coronavirus-pandemic\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.adweek.com\/performance-marketing\/nextdoor-adds-2-features-to-help-members-cope-with-the-coronavirus-pandemic\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nextdoor Groups<\/a> to spread the word.
