Rad Power has long been one of the most popular electric bike manufacturers, but something new is coming next week<\/a>. The company says it\u2019s getting to release its most requested model from fans and fellow riders.<\/p>\n

Between the revised RadRover 6 Plus<\/a> last summer to the popular RadRunner<\/a> or RadExpand 5<\/a>, the company has no shortage of options. However, Rad Power Bikes just started teasing that an all-new model will arrive next week. The teaser image doesn\u2019t reveal much at first glance, but we have a few good ideas of what it could be.<\/p>\n

The RadRover fat tire mountain bike started it all for the company and is still the best-selling bike it offers. That said, the \u201cmost requested\u201d electric bike is likely one that\u2019s more affordable than what the company currently offers.<\/p>\n

The folks at Electrek<\/em> went a step further and turned up the brightness<\/a> on the teaser image Rad Power posted to Twitter and believe it\u2019ll likely be some sort of affordable folding electric bike. And yes, Rad already has a folding bike, but it retails for $1,600.<\/p>\n

From the image provided, we can slightly see a utility-style bike with a step-thru frame, a new location for the massive battery, no suspension, and tires that aren\u2019t as fat as previous offerings. Plus, it looks like this upcoming model could be a folding bike.<\/p>\n

If we had to guess, Rad Power Bikes is getting ready to release an affordable new folding ebike for the masses. If it wants to take on the budget-friendly competition and Lectric<\/a> and others, it\u2019ll need to retail for under $1,000. I was hoping for a full-suspension electric bike, but that isn\u2019t looking very likely.<\/p>\n

Either way, we\u2019ll know more come Tuesday, December 6th, when Rad Power Bikes unveils its latest set of electrified wheels. Stay tuned for more details.<\/p>\n
