Apple now allows people using the Apple Fitness+<\/a> service to see workout metrics on AirPlay 2 devices. Here’s how to get it done. <\/p>\n

“[Apple Fitness+] is a new service to inspire you to get fit and stay fit,” said Jay Blahnik, senior director of Fitness Technologies at Apple, during Apple’s September 2020 event. “The entire Fitness+ experience is powered by the Apple Watch<\/a> in some really cool ways.” <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Here is how to see metrics on your AirPlay<\/a> 2 devices, what devices support it, and what operating system your devices should be on. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

How to see Fitness+ metrics on AirPlay 2 devices<\/h2>\n

Metrics will automatically show up once you start your workout. Here is how to make sure your device is showing them. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

  1. Open the Fitness app<\/strong> on your iPhone<\/a> or iPad<\/a><\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  2. Select the workout<\/strong> you want to do<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  3. Before pressing Play<\/strong>, select the AirPlay symbol<\/strong> on the bottom right of the screen<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  4. Select a device under the Video & Metrics<\/strong> category<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  5. Once selected, select Play<\/strong> on your workout<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  6. Your device will count down<\/strong> and then start the workout<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  7. Your metrics should now show up<\/strong> on your AirPlay 2 device<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
