The “i” icon on an Apple Watch is used to display information about your watch and to pair it to an iPhone manually. You can also use the “i” icon in the Watch app on your iPhone to unpair your watch.<\/p>\n

What Is the \u201ci\u201d Icon on an Apple Watch?<\/h2>\n

Throughout the Apple ecosystem, the \u201ci\u201d icon, which appears as an \u201ci\u201d with a circle around it, simply stands for \u201cinformation.\u201d It\u2019s used on your iPhone and Apple Watch to display additional information and preferences. The circled \u201ci\u201d is also used for manually pairing and re-pairing your Apple Watch<\/a> to your iPhone.<\/p>\n

Where Is the \u201ci\u201d Icon on an Apple Watch?<\/h2>\n

You\u2019ll find the circled \u201ci\u201d in various places on your Apple Watch, typically on the right side of the face or the bottom-right corner.<\/p>\n

For example, you\u2019ll find it under Settings > Bluetooth or when you tap on a card in your wallet app and scroll down to reveal the \u201cCard Information\u201d button.<\/p>\n

However, the most common place you\u2019re likely to encounter this button is when you pair your watch.<\/p>\n

Tap the \u201ci\u201d Icon to Pair Your Watch Manually<\/h2>\n

When you turn the Apple Watch on, a moving pattern will be displayed on the screen. Scan this moving pattern with your iPhone\u2019s camera (the pairing process should start automatically) to pair your Apple Watch with your iPhone<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the bottom-right corner of the screen, next to the moving pattern, you\u2019ll find the \u201ci\u201d icon. This is useful if you\u2019re unable to pair your Apple Watch using the standard method. You\u2019ll see a set of numbers on your Watch, which you can type into your iPhone to complete the pairing process manually.<\/p>\n

You can also use the \u201ci\u201d icon within the Watch app on your iPhone to see additional information, find your watch, or unpair the two devices.<\/p>\n

To access the icon, go to the \u201cMy Watch\u201d tab and tap \u201cAll Watches\u201d in the top-left corner of the screen. A list of paired wearables will appear with the familiar \u201ci\u201d icon next to each entry.<\/p>\n
