{"id":18151,"date":"2022-03-02T18:10:07","date_gmt":"2022-03-02T18:10:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mailinvest.blog\/index.php\/2022\/03\/02\/google-may-require-double-verification-for-some-business-profiles\/"},"modified":"2022-03-02T18:10:07","modified_gmt":"2022-03-02T18:10:07","slug":"google-may-require-double-verification-for-some-business-profiles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mailinvest.blog\/index.php\/2022\/03\/02\/google-may-require-double-verification-for-some-business-profiles\/","title":{"rendered":"Google may require double verification for some business profiles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/go.fiverr.com\/visit\/?bta=1052423&nci=17043\" Target=\"_Top\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/mailinvest.blog\/wp-content\/themes\/breek\/assets\/images\/transparent.gif\" data-lazy=\"true\" data-src=\"https:\/\/fiverr.ck-cdn.com\/tn\/serve\/?cid=40081059\"  width=\"601\" height=\"201\"><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n<p>Google has updated its document on how to verify your business in <a href=\"https:\/\/searchengineland.com\/google-my-business-now-known-as-google-business-profile-as-google-migrates-features-to-maps-and-search-375767\">Google Business Profiles<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/business\/answer\/7107242#:~:text=We%20may%20require%20you%20to%20verify%20by%20more%20than%20one%20method.\">add<\/a> that you Google  \u201cmay require you to verify by more than one method.\u201d  This might be related to some fraudulent business profiles being created using one of the verification methods.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Verification methods. <\/strong>Google currently offers several methods to verify a business listing with Google Business Profiles. When this first launched, Google had only the postcard method, where Google would mail the business address a postcard and pin.  But Google has added numerous options since, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Phone or text<\/li>\n<li>Email<\/li>\n<li>Video recording<\/li>\n<li>Live video call<\/li>\n<li>Postcard<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Double verify. <\/strong>Now, Google may request that some businesses use not just one verification method, but two.
