Android 12 introduced a feature called \u201cPrivacy Dashboard.\u201d It\u2019s your one-stop for all things privacy-related on your phone. Samsung Galaxy devices<\/a> have a version of this, too. We\u2019ll show you how to find it on your device.<\/p>\n

What Is the Privacy Dashboard?<\/h2>\n

As you might expect from the name, the Privacy Dashboard<\/a> displays information regarding privacy in one place. You can see which apps are using which permissions and how often they\u2019re doing it.<\/p>\n

On Samsung devices, it\u2019s not actually called \u201cPrivacy Dashboard.\u201d Samsung has broken out the features and put them under the \u201cPrivacy\u201d section of the settings. You can see the same things as on Google Pixel devices, just in a slightly different presentation.<\/p>\n

How to Find the Samsung Privacy Dashboard<\/h2>\n

Finding the Privacy Dashboard on a Samsung device is very simple.<\/p>\n

First, let\u2019s swipe down from the top of the screen to reveal the Quick Settings tiles. Tap the gear icon to open the Settings.<\/p>\n

Now scroll down to the \u201cPrivacy\u201d section.<\/p>\n

\"Tap<\/p>\n

The first thing you\u2019ll see is some charts at the top of the screen that show the permissions that have been used in the last 24 hours. We can see one app used the camera, three used the microphone, and 13 used location. Tap \u201cAll Permissions\u201d to see more.<\/p>\n

Under that is the \u201cPermission Manager.\u201d This is where you can see all the permissions and which apps are allowed to access them.<\/p>\n

Back on the Privacy page, the next thing you can do is disable \u201cCamera Access\u201d and \u201cMicrophone Access\u201d across the board for all apps.<\/p>\n

The last thing is an option to get an alert when the clipboard is accessed by an app.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s all there is to Samsung\u2019s Dashboard Manager. It may not be as flashy as Google\u2019s implementation, but all of the same features are there. Privacy is a very important thing<\/a> to think about with your smartphone, so make sure to use these tools.<\/p>\n
