The Lincoln assassination limited series “Manhunt” coming to Apple TV+ adds Anthony Boyle and Lovie Simone as leads alongside Tobias Menzies. <\/p>\n

The new limited series follows the hunt for John Wilkes Booth based on the bestselling book “Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln’s Killer.” Tobias Menzies was already cast<\/a> as Edwin Stanton, Lincoln’s war secretary and friend who is driven nearly to madness by the search for Booth. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to<\/a> Deadline<\/em>, Lovie Simone will play Mary Simms, a former slave of the doctor who treated John Wilkes Booth’s injury. The doctor is played by Anthony Boyle, who also gives safe harbor to Booth. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The series is produced for Apple TV+ by Apple Studios and co-produced by Lionsgate in association with POV Entertainment, Walden Media, and 3 Arts Entertainment. The showrunner and executive producer is Monica Beletsky, known for “Fargo” and “Friday Night Lights.” <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
