The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has started taking tax returns for the 2021 filing season. For many Americans, this tax season will be unusual since the federal government may owe them COVID-19 stimulus checks.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Child Tax Credit was worth up to $2,000 per qualified child until 2021, with up to $1,400 of the money being refundable.
