\u201cSamsung Free\u201d<\/a> is the company\u2019s content aggregator. It aims to serve up news articles, podcasts, videos, and games, all for free\u2014hence the name. It\u2019s included on some Galaxy S22 devices. We\u2019ll show you how to remove it.<\/p>\n

The default Samsung home screen launcher<\/a> on the Galaxy S22 series has a \u201cmedia page\u201d on the left-most page of the home screen. On some models, it\u2019s Google Discover, on others it\u2019s Samsung Free. The steps below will remove the page no matter which one is enabled on your particular device.<\/p>\n

Remove Samsung Free on the Home Screen<\/h2>\n

The first method we\u2019ll use takes place on the home screen itself. Tap and hold a blank space on the home screen.<\/p>\n

The home screen will zoom out and you can swipe over to the left-most page, which is Samsung Free.<\/p>\n

Simply toggle the switch at the top of the page off. You may also have the option to switch to \u201cGoogle Discover\u201d if you would prefer.<\/p>\n

Remove Samsung Free from the Settings<\/h2>\n

The second method is from the Settings app. First, swipe down once from the top of the screen to open the Quick Settings and tap the gear icon.<\/p>\n

Next, go to the \u201cHome Screen\u201d section.<\/p>\n

From here you can remove the page by toggling off \u201cAdd Media Page to Home Screen.\u201d<\/p>\n

If you\u2019d like to switch it to Google Discover, tap \u201cAdd Media Page to Home Screen\u201d and then swap to Discover on the next screen.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s it! Samsung Free (or Google Discover<\/a>) will no longer be on your home screen. Simply repeat these steps if you\u2019d ever like to bring it back. Samsung devices offer a lot of customization and sometimes that means turning features off<\/a>.<\/p>\n
