If you\u2019d like to mark a specific location to get directions to it, save it to your favorite list, or share it with someone, simply drop a pin on that location in Apple Maps<\/a> on your iPhone. We\u2019ll show you how to do just that.<\/p>\n

Pin a Location in Maps on iPhone<\/h2>\n

To begin, launch the Apple Maps app on your iPhone. In the app, navigate to the location where you want to drop a pin.<\/p>\n

Once you find the location, tap and hold on that location on the map.<\/p>\n

Maps will immediately drop a pin on that location, as you can see below.<\/p>\n

If your dropped pin\u2019s location is not too precise, edit it by selecting \u201cEdit Location\u201d from the \u201cMarked Location\u201d menu.<\/p>\n

You will see the satellite view of the map. Here, drag the pin to the exact point where you want it to be. Then, in the top-right corner, tap \u201cDone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Your pin now represents the precise location where you wanted it. If you\u2019d like to get directions to this location, then from the \u201cMarked Location\u201d section, select \u201cDirections.\u201d<\/p>\n

To save your pinned location to your favorite list, pull up the \u201cMarked Location\u201d menu and choose \u201cFavorite.\u201d Similarly, to share the pin\u2019s location<\/a> with a user, tap \u201cShare\u201d in the menu.<\/p>\n

You can delete the dropped pin by choosing \u201cRemove.\u201d<\/p>\n
