If you\u2019re already using a compatible pair of headphones, there\u2019s a small button that says \u2018Share Audio.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Tapping on this button brings up an interface that tells you to bring the other headphones, or the device they\u2019re connected to close to the iPhone\/iPad that\u2019s playing the content.<\/p>\n<p>In my testing, I started with<a href=\"https:\/\/mobilesyrup.com\/2020\/12\/15\/airpods-max-review\/\" data-old-href=\"https:\/\/mobilesyrup.com\/2020\/12\/15\/airpods-max-review\/\" data-lasso-id=\"183348\"> AirPods Max<\/a> connected to my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=mobilesyrup+ipahone+3+reivew&amp;rlz=1C5CHFA_enCA983CA983&amp;oq=mobilesyrup+ipahone+3+reivew&amp;aqs=chrome..69i57j33i10i160l5j33i21.3802j0j4&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\" data-old-href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=mobilesyrup+ipahone+3+reivew&amp;rlz=1C5CHFA_enCA983CA983&amp;oq=mobilesyrup+ipahone+3+reivew&amp;aqs=chrome..69i57j33i10i160l5j33i21.3802j0j4&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\" data-lasso-id=\"183349\">iPhone<\/a>. Then I opened the AirPlay controls on the YouTube video I was watching, tapped on \u2018share audio\u2019 and took the AirPods out of their case. Once I brought them within a few inches of my iPhone, they automatically connected.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s useful is once you\u2019re connected, you can control the volume for each set of headphones independently.<\/p>\n<p>To stop sharing, open up the AirPlay menu again and deselect the small checkmark beside the name of the headphones. However, some apps will bury the button behind their own casting tech (looking at you Google).<\/p>\n<p>The most straightforward place to access AirPlay is through \u2018Control Centre\u2019 since it\u2019s always the same there. On most iPhones\/iPads, you access this by swiping down from the top right-hand corner. On older devices like iPhones with a Home Button, you need to swipe up from the bottom.<\/p>\n<p>The AirPlay controls are in the top right of the \u2018Now Playing\u2019 interface.
