Around 4-years-ago, it was rumored that Apple partnered with Volkswagen to develop their electric car, but those were quickly dispersed. To date, the company is known to have 66 road-registered driverless cars, with 111 drivers registered to operate those cars. The latest rumor from 2021 is that Apple and Hyundai were in early discussions to produce self-driving electric cars, but shortly after, Apple hired Porsche VP of Chassis Development, Dr. Manfred Harrer.
