Whether your credit card has expired and you can\u2019t use it, or you don\u2019t want to use a certain form of payment anymore, it\u2019s easy to remove your payment methods from Google Play. We\u2019ll show you how to do that on desktop and Android.<\/p>\n

Remove a Payment Method From Google Play on Desktop<\/h2>\n

Start by opening your favorite web browser and heading to the Google Play<\/a> site. There, log in to your Google account<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After logging in, from Google Play\u2019s left sidebar, select \u201cPayment Methods.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the \u201cPayment Methods\u201d page, beneath the current methods, click \u201cEdit Payment Methods.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Select<\/p>\n

You will be taken to the Google Payments Center site. Here, find the credit card or another payment method to remove. Then, beneath that method, click \u201cRemove.\u201d<\/p>\n

Click \u201cRemove\u201d in the prompt.<\/p>\n

And your selected payment method is now removed from your profile. You will no longer be able to use this method to make any further payments<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Delete a Payment Method From Google Play on Android<\/h2>\n

To clear a saved credit card or another mode of payment using your Android phone, use the Play Store app on your phone.<\/p>\n

Start by launching Google Play Store on your phone. In the Store\u2019s top-right corner, tap your profile icon.<\/p>\n

In the profile menu that opens, tap \u201cPayments & Subscriptions.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Choose<\/p>\n

Select \u201cPayment Methods.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Tap<\/p>\n

At the bottom of the \u201cPayment Methods\u201d screen, tap \u201cMore Payment Settings.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Select<\/p>\n

Your phone\u2019s default web browser<\/a> will open and take you to Google Payments Center. Here, find the payment method to remove, and beneath it, tap \u201cRemove.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tap \u201cRemove\u201d in the prompt.<\/p>\n

\"Hit<\/p>\n

And you have successfully deleted an unwanted payment method from your Google account. You may now add a new card or another method to make payments for your Play Store services, if you want. And if you ever mistakenly remove a working payment method, you can add it back easily<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

While you\u2019re at it, check if your expired credit card is also saved in Chrome<\/a> on your devices. You might want to remove it from there as well.<\/p>\n
