Which takes are most popular?\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Miller noted that she also uses <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.searchenginejournal.com\/publisher-internal-linking\/436599\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-lp=\"bypass\">AnswerThePublic<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Content Writing &amp; Optimization Tools<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.searchenginejournal.com\/author\/daniel-smullen\/\">Daniel Smullen<\/a>, Head of SEO at Mediahuis Ireland, shared the following list of tools that content marketers should use when researching, writing, and managing content projects.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Docs<\/a> <\/strong>for writing with the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/grammarly-for-chrome\/kbfnbcaeplbcioakkpcpgfkobkghlhen?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grammarly extension<\/a><\/strong> for editing.<\/li>\n<li>A project management software system such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.notion.so\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Notion<\/a><\/strong> for content planning.<\/li>\n<li>A keyword research tool such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/keywords-explorer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ahrefs<\/a><\/strong> for keyword insights.<\/li>\n<li>An all-in-one SEO writing assistant such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neuraltext.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Neural Text<\/a><\/strong> for topic research, identifying similar entities used in top 10 ranking URLs,\u00a0 and topic-based question research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For text content, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/laura-h-63a2b43b\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laura Herman<\/a>, CEO of Mint Marketing Inc, recommends <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/surferseo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Surfer SEO<\/a><\/strong>, which is helpful when figuring out what content is needed or what you might be overusing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor video content, I\u2019ll take almost any platform that can help me to create captivating and professional-looking content,\u201d Herman added.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/morganflores\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Morgan Flores<\/a>, Sr Manager of Content &amp; SEO at Clutch, said that although she uses many tools in the course of her work, she has three favorites.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI use <strong>Google Analytics<\/strong> for overall traffic analysis, user engagement and trends. <strong>Ahrefs<\/strong> is my top choice for keyword tracking, keyword research, and competitor analysis. I also use the heck out of the <a href=\"https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/gs-location-changer\/blpgcfdpnimjdojecbpagkllfnkajglp?fbclid=IwAR0er7Pjc2w5tQB7tMcYzauuvX6rGCeSCA0cOC-235eGsvzyKqcE41DtD_I\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>GS location changer Chrome extension<\/strong><\/a> to spoof my search location in browsers,\u201d Flores explained.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/cynthiahoy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cynthia Hoy<\/a>, a self-employed SEO specialist and writer, told us she uses the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hemingwayapp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hemingway app<\/a><\/strong> to catch and correct examples of the passive voice in her content. \u201cNow that I\u2019ve improved my passive voice I\u2019m working on transition words,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Miranda Miller shared <a href=\"https:\/\/www.searchenginejournal.com\/online-writing-tools\/235859\/\">her favorite online writing tools here<\/a>. In addition to those mentioned above, those include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>WebFX\u2019s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.webfx.com\/tools\/read-able\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Flesch-Kincaid Readability Test Tool<\/a><\/strong> for improving content readability.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.onelook.com\/reverse-dictionary.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OneLook Thesaurus<\/a><\/strong> for finding synonyms and similar terms that can make your writing richer, less repetitive, and more interesting to read.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.frase.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frase.io<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inlinks.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">InLinks<\/a><\/strong>, or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketmuse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MarketMuse<\/a><\/strong> for SERPs analysis, related topics and entities, competitive analysis and other AI-assisted content insights.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Scholar<\/a><\/strong> for finding trustworthy, reputable, and often peer-reviewed information.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/yoast.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yoast<\/a><\/strong> as a final on-page SEO check before hitting Publish.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Content Promotion<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.searchenginejournal.com\/author\/alexandra-tachalova\/\">Alexandra Tachalova<\/a> recommends repurposing content as an excellent way to promote it.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canva.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canva<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/venngage.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Venngage<\/a><\/strong>, for example, are two simple drag-and-drop design options that enable you to quickly and easily create hero images, infographics, social graphics and more to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.searchenginejournal.com\/content-promotion-tools\/233823\/\">augment your written content<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Tachalova also recommends that you give <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rawshorts.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RawShorts<\/a><\/strong> a try for quick, simple video production using your existing content. (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/biteable.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biteable<\/a><\/strong> is another videomaker with stock footage, animations and effects you might like to try out.)<\/p>\n<p>For her part, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/karidephillips\/?originalSubdomain=nl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kari DePhillips<\/a>, CEO of The Content Factory and co-founder of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/sistersinseo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sisters in SEO<\/a> Facebook Group, said, \u201cI\u2019m going to go outside of the box here and say <strong><a class=\"PrimaryLink BaseLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mixmax.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mixmax<\/a><\/strong>, which is an email tool.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DePhillips gave three reasons why she recommended said platform:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst, at $12 per month, it\u2019s my best bang for my investment buck.<\/p>\n<p>Second, it lets me track all email opens (yes, I can see when clients open invoice emails they claim to have missed\u2026)<\/p>\n<p>And third, their templates are such a time saver. I get at least 10 backlink\/guest post requests per day, and some of these people relentlessly follow up.<\/p>\n<p>I have a killer \u2018We don\u2019t allow this. Please remove me from your list\u2019 template that gets these people out of my hair with two mouse clicks,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n<p>As for me, I still like <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hootsuite.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hootsuite<\/a><\/strong> for social scheduling. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sendible.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sendible<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.loomly.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Loomly<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/coschedule.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CoSchedule<\/a><\/strong> are good options for tailoring your content and scheduling it for various social platforms, as well.<\/p>\n<p>Each has pros and cons and features that may be attractive to some users but not others. Check them out, take a demo, and see which one best suits your needs.<\/p>\n<p>What matters most is that you\u2019re getting out there and giving new tools a shot.
