As mentioned, there are numerous studies and findings for Instagram. For the chart below, I used <a href=\"https:\/\/later.com\/blog\/best-time-to-post-on-instagram\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Later\u2019s data<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interestingly enough, there isn\u2019t much overlap! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This may be due to the demographic differences between the two platforms. Instagram\u2019s largest age group is 18-34 while TikTok\u2019s is 10-19\u2014very different lifestyles (but rest assured, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wordstream.com\/blog\/ws\/2020\/08\/11\/advertising-on-tiktok\">TikTok is not just for Zillennials<\/a>. Need I say more?<\/p>\n<p>But seriously, why does it matter? I the dreamy intro didn\u2019t answer this question or if you\u2019re more of pragmatic, here are three reasons.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>TikTok organic reach is high. <\/strong>Real high. Like, 118%. high. For reference, among the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wordstream.com\/blog\/ws\/2022\/01\/11\/most-popular-social-media-platforms\">most popular social media platforms<\/a>, Instagram organic reach is 9.4%, LinkedIn is 5.3%, and Facebook is 2.2%. This might not last, so now is the time to take advantage of this high rate and build up your account cred.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The \u201cFor You Page\u201d is social media\u2019s first page of Google.<\/strong> The TikTok algorithm curates a personalized section of videos based on inferred preferences of that user and videos within those preferences that are getting likes, shares, and comments. Posting at the right time = more likes and shares = higher chances of showing up on FYP.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Get ideas. <\/strong>Posting at the right time maximizes your engagement, and maximized engagement means more insights into what your audience likes best. Every account is different so it\u2019s best to find your own right time to post on TikTok. Here are some ways to do it.<\/p>\n<h3>1. Develop your personas<\/h3>\n<p>First and foremost, make sure you have a full understanding of the lifestyle of your TikTok audience members. This means creating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wordstream.com\/blog\/ws\/2015\/09\/23\/buyer-personas\">personas<\/a> and walking through a typical day in their shoes. When are their busy times, downtimes, bored times, stressed times, social times? For example, if your target audience is kids, right after school might be a prime time while if your target audience is working professionals, it might be lunchtime or late at night. This will help you get a ballpark range as to when they\u2019re most likely to be on TikTok, as well as what some of the themes in your content should be.<\/p>\n<h3>2. Get a Pro account so you can access analytics\u2026<\/h3>\n<p>A Pro account is free! Go to your profile, tap the <strong>hamburger icon<\/strong> in the top right and select <strong>Privacy and settings<\/strong>. Rather than having to tap on each video on your device to view its individual performance metrics separately, you can export it all to a spreadsheet and see it all at once, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Day and time posted<\/li>\n<li>Likes<\/li>\n<li>Comments<\/li>\n<li>Shares<\/li>\n<li>Average watch time<\/li>\n<li>Views<\/li>\n<li>Traffic source (FYP or followers)<\/li>\n<li>Territories reached<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Much easier. You can then identify any patterns that will give you clues on the best time to post on TikTok and the best content as well.<\/p>\n<h3>4.
